Interview with Irwan Setiawan

Hi Irwan! Tell us about yourself in two sentences - who are you?

My name is Irwan Setiawan, I'm a photographer from Bogor, West Java Indonesia. My work focuses on landscape and human interest photography.

QWhat's the weirdest situation you've found yourself in while taking a photograph?

ABack in 2014 I climbed Mt. Rinjani and I was blown away by the magnificent views on the way to the summit. Unfortunately, the bad weather didn’t allow me to take too many shots of the stunning scenery but nonetheless it was a great experience.

QWhat do you shoot on? What's your favourite set up?

AI use a Canon 7D with a Tamron 10-24mm lens. I always carry a tripod with me as I shoot landscapes all the time.

QWhat's your number one tip for an aspiring photographer?

AKeep taking photos, the more you shoot, the more you learn.

QWhat's the one thing you love most about Picfair?
