Hi Chris! Tell us about yourself in two sentences - who are you?
Started on 35mm at 17 years of age and am a qualified fitter machinist in engineering. Had my first professional photo sale of surfing action in 1984 with a local surfing magazine and became a full time photographer from 1990 onwards. Worked in Hawaii and on worldwide travel assignments for thirteen years with Surfing magazine in California before stopping traveling in 2005 to stay home with Debby. We married in 94 with our children Stephen and Hannah now teenagers living just outside Durban South Africa. Now doing stock photos alongside photographic assignments with a wide spectrum of photographic subjects in South-Africa and Africa.
QWhat's the weirdest situation you've found yourself in while taking a photograph?
AMany! nearly drowning a couple of times whilst doing surf photography or being charged by Elephants and Rhinos in wildlife reserves in South Africa.

ACanon cameras 5Dm2 and 1Dm4 Lenses 600mm down to 16mm fisheye

I still swim and photograph along the Durban coast surfing spots when the waves are good with colour, shape and light.
