People seem to have a natural attraction towards high vantage points. Unless you suffer from severe vertigo, it’s likely that you enjoy sweeping views from the tops of Ferris wheels, high hills, and skyscrapers. But when it comes to buildings, the perspective from down below can be just as impressive. Nothing makes you feel small and insignificant like walking between high-rise buildings climbing towards the clouds. You wonder how that structure manages to stand at all, how they ever got so high, how it doesn’t sink into the ground. You strain your neck and wonder who lives up there, and what it’s like to wake up to that view. You look down, feeling a little dizzy. We’ve made a selection of images to give you just that feeling, minus the neck cramp. Enjoy.
Without clouds it would be hard to tell which way is up in this dizzying picture taken near Union Station in Toronto.
