Old Dodges, Chevrolets and Fords are often seen on Cuban streets, offering a charming and unique scenery. In the context of the city’s tradition and culture, classic cars represent a significant business in Havana. Drivers deliver tours to tourists and locals in these cinematic vehicles, offering the promise of a particular insight into the Cuban heritage. While their old mechanisms need to be continually modified to keep them going, the future of these cars is uncertain. Indeed, since the entry of Cuba into the globalised marketplace, vintage cars might disappear from the Havana streets.
