Another day at Saanane National Park, this time I only took a 70-300. I had plenty of zebra photos that I took on the day, and though of trying to capture the patterns of Zebras and here is the result.
A silhouette of a male giraffe, the tallest living animal. #Giraffes are both browsers and grazers. From an article I once read that a giraffe can be identified as either male or female from a distance away simply by its stance while eating, Males concentrate on leaves from the highest branches, while the females arch their necks to eat closer to the...
While observing the African Fish Eagle in one of my safaris, I was told of an astonishing mythical story about the Sausage Tree (Scientific Name: Kigelia Africana) that the bird had perched.
The tree bears sausage-like fruits that can grow to a length of up-to 100cms and weight to about 10 KGs. The fruits are eaten by some birds and animals. The myth...
Photography is the only language that can be understood anywhere in the world.
Enjoy this beautiful sunset from the shores of Lake Victoria!
I thank God, my prayers were answered, on my last day at Serengeti, we were able to trace this beautiful sleeping leopard!
#Leopards are the most secretive cats. They are extremely difficult to trace and locate in the wild. Them being predominantly solitary animals with large territories makes tracing even more difficult.
The heart of rock city,#Mwanza is lake #Victoria, which is a source of income for small scale fishermen. As the evening closes in, the fishermen equiped with lanterns and nets are off to work and during the night they will use these lanterns to attract fish to their nets.
Cute but not cuddly..a photogenic lion cub as it scrumptiously enjoys lunch.
Season has started, anxiously as members of our team start this year with Safaris to fill this years catalogue of Poetic Wild travels..and we will be off to Serengeti soon...
Ever thought what would happen to the ecosystem if elephants turned their backs and left?
There are plenty of trees and other animals that depend on them. More awareness needs to be done to protect these humble animals.
This week I just fell in love with photographing #zebras. Here is a Black & White Zebra affair from the plains of West #Serengeti.
It's a vast wildlife beauty that #Tanzania has from the numerous National Parks and it is up-to us to ensure that this heritage is saved for...
The great thing about SaaNane National Park, is it's photogenic gazelles, I always find a new portrait each time I visit the park. Here is a posture of a grant gazelle with Mwanza town bokeh seen at the background.
Zanzibar’s Stone Town #Forodhani Garden’s become live at dusk with the youth activities that have now become a ritual. Plenty of teenagers gather on the stone steps sea wall to dive into the sea. After a long run, they fling and leap themselves into the deeper waves, the braver ones do even perform acrobatic dives!
Another exciting safari at #Tarangire National Park, it was a rare to find large pride of #lions in the park, and after almost an hour's time waiting for the sleepy pride, they woke, hence the incredible yawn was captured!!

Zanzibar's #Forodhani Garden is a no miss for anyone visiting #Zanzibar Islands in #Tanzania. The gardens are along the main seawalk of Stone Town, just in front of the famous House of Wonders.

Officially declared as one of the 7th Natural Wonders of Africa, christened as “Africa’s Garden of Eden”, is one place in Tanzania that, whichever number of times I visit, it has always been an exciting and unique experience.
If you manage, stay at one of the rim hotels, you will be amazed with amazing views of the Crater. This photo depicts among the...
