Preserved steam train Leander working the Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express passes Bay Horse on the West Coast Main Line (WCML) on Saturday 21st January 2017. The train is 1Z45, the 07.14 from Manchester Victoria to Carlisle.
The only public rack and pinion railway in the UK, it travels almost 5 miles from Llanberis to the summit of Snowdon. Opened in the late 1800's, to this day it challenges some extreme conditions to transport passengers safely to the summit.
