Hurricane PZ865 MkIIc
The last Hurricane ever built (of 14,533), PZ865 rolled off the Hawker production line at Langley, Bucks, in July 1944 with the inscription ‘The Last of the Many’ on her port and starboard sides. Keen to preserve the last Hurricane ever built, Hawkers purchased the aircraft back from the Air Ministry and kept it in storage at Langley.
A traditional oyster fisherman propels his boat out with a sweep at dawn in a flat calm. A local law prohibits fishing for the native oysters in the Fal Estuary (Cornwall, England) by power so a small fleet of oyster boats still dredge by sail. Some of the boats are well over 100 years old.
Place of burial, in North London. A cemetery full of fascinating history. Very eerie and atmospheric, this shot was taken in the early morning it was quite misty which makes the shot even more atmospheric.
