Picfair - Copywriter & Social Media Manager

We’re looking for a strong copywriter & social media native to develop and deploy Picfair’s voice across multiple communication channels - email, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok and more. 

The company:

Picfair is a simple and beautiful one-stop-shop for photographers around the world to build a website, upload their portfolio and start selling their images as digital downloads and printed products. So far, over 400,000 photographers have uploaded over 10 million photos, and we have a social audience of over 100,000 people.

We have so much to share, and so much creativity to celebrate. We want to make sure we are seizing every opportunity to do so across social media, with a voice that reflects our core beliefs of fairness, creativity, and opportunity. We want this voice to carry confidently from Social Media to our email channels, with slick feature announcements and marketing updates. 

The role:

  • Planning and implementing content strategy across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest & TikTok. 

  • Working with the Marketing team and Focus editor to produce newsletters, feature updates, and marketing announcements.

  • Pro-actively & re-actively engaging with our social media audiences, triaging customer support when needed, and identifying testimonial & marketing opportunities 

  • Contributing to copywriting requirements within the product development process

  • Researching current social trends, audience preferences and tools / applications

The person:

  • You have the right to work in the UK

  • You have experience writing brand communications including social media

  • You are a strong writer, who can apply your skills confidently across multiple channels. 

  • You  have strong social media instincts, but are also able demonstrate an analytical or scientific approach to communication

  • You are a positive person, and get a kick out of celebrating the creativity of others

  • You are interested in brand communication, and stay up to date with best practises

  • You have a sharp creative eye and great storytelling skills 

  • You are able to engage multiple demographics with your copywriting

Salary: £25-40K dependent on experience

Work hours: 40 hours per week, including occasional weekend work

Start date: ASAP

Location: Initially remote, with flexible working in due course
