The effects of plastic pollution on the environment is currently one of the most widely-discussed topics across the world's media and has been considered one of the 'greatest environmental challenges of our time'
The gravity of the problem is serious, to say the least; a plastic garbage patch twice the size of Texas can be found floating off the coast of California, and over 1 million seabirds and marine animals die from plastic pollution each year. And the consequences are barely scratching the surface - we don't yet know how, and to what extent future generations will be affected.
World Environment Day, on 5th June 2018 is the United Nation's 'most important day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the protection of our environment', with this year's theme based around the slogan, 'Beat Plastic Pollution', to raise awareness of the scale of the issue.
We love to care for our planet here at Picfair, and we have a wide array of images ideal to illustrate your 'Beat Plastic Pollution' campaigns and features.
Image licenses start from just £1 and remember, our photographers keep the vast majority (80%) of any sale revenue.
#BeatPlasticPollution.
