There’s a moment when the wheels of the plane leave the runway that creates a unique sensation in all of us lucky enough to travel somewhere by plane. A simultaneous sense of exhilaration and trepidation where, deep deep down, your brain knows that you’re doing something humans aren’t designed to do. For many of us, that’s more than enough adventure, but there are those who like to push the envelope that little bit further. Whether it’s jumping off mountains or out of planes, role-playing the Wright brothers or Phileas Fogg, it seems the urge to leave the ground is strong enough to keep many pushing that boundary.
