Prepare to be bombarded with some facts about The Rockies, as there’s much information to impart such is its impressive size. The mountain range (or technically series of 100 mountain ranges) stretches more than 3,000 miles - right from the northernmost part of British Columbia in Canada, all the way down to New Mexico in the US while passing through 11 States. Mount Elbert near Leadville, Colorado, claims the title of highest peak at 14,433 feet, while Pikes Peak the second most visited peak on the planet (only behind Japan’s Mount Fuji). It’s home to a huge variety of flora and fauna, and also home to several National Parks within the two countries.
