Lukáš is a photographer based in Czechia, whose love of mountains and nature brought him to the landscape genre. He focuses on photographing lesser-known places and bringing new perspectives to different seasons and times of the day.
Favourite photographer:
My favourite photographer is definitely Marc Adamus. His artistic landscape photography is well known, but he is the hero for me, thanks to his exploration of true remote wilderness and finding new photo spots.
Top tip for other photographers:
If you want to be a good photographer and take original and inspiring pictures, you have to take photographs in terrain that goes beyond your comfort zone.
Favourite photograph:
It is hard to choose the only one because I photograph landscape and nightscape. But probably the most favourite is the picture "Ice Kingdom" from the Austrian Alps, because It was taken on my first real winter photo trip to the Alps. It was also selected as Astronomy Picture of the day by NASA.

The position of the objects relative to each other as well as the focal length were exact as it was in real - no composite. The picture shows comet C3 / 2020 Neowise together with a lone tree on top of a hill in a field in the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area. The photo was taken during the light of the receding Moon, but thanks to very clean air and a minimum of light pollution, I was able to capture the details of the dust as well as the bluish ion tail. Photographed in July 2020 at a focus of 150 mm. Read less
