Rene Mark Knoop is a Dutch photographer currently living in Iceland, who brings us a beautiful and striking portfolio of images to his Picfair Store.
Favourite photographer:
There are a few photographers that are inspiring, one is my old teacher at Photography school, Mich Buschman. I learned a lot from his way of teaching and still benefit from his lessons. Luri Belegurschi, is an amazing landscape photographer who did some excellent work in Iceland, I visit his gallery every now and then in Reykjavik, Besides his beautiful photos I admire his way of presenting his work in the gallery.
Top tip:
As mentioned above a good tip is sometimes not to take the picture but wait and possibly revisit to make the most of it under ideal circumstances. Just sit back and relax and see how the light develops on the scene.
Favourite photograph:
This aurora at Vestrahorn picture (see below). I visited this area 7 times before taking this shot, the weather and light was not great on the first visits and I took not a single picture on the first 4 visits. It pays off to wait and revisit, planning paid off.
