Favourite Photographer:
Limiting myself to just one photographer is impossible. However, my first favourite photographer was Sebastaio Salgado. I admire his extensive body of work and his deep sense of humansim. I equally like Lars Tunbjörk and Rob Hornstra for their storytelling skills. Last but not least Raymond Depardon for his series "Glasgow" and the special style of Gregory Crewdson.
Best tip for other photographers:
Patience, be it with regard to the subject, the research for your topic, or your personal development as a photographer.
Favourite photograph:
My favourite photograph (see below) was taken in Kiruna in Sweden for my project „Iron Heart“. It has all three components i do like about a photograph: Storytelling (the history and importance of mining in the area), telling something about the place itself (a typical winter landscape above the polar circle, with the national symbol of Sweden, a Volvo, also in the picture) and the aesthetics (showcasing the strangely illuminated scene of the winter sun.)
