Favourite photographer:
I do not have a specific favourite photographer, but Abdul Ghafur Dayak and Pang Way are two photographers I admire for their work in the macro photography genre. Abdul Ghafur Dayak is an Indonesian photographer well-known for his ability to capture artistic photos that highlight every macro detail of the subject. Meanwhile, Pang Way is a Malaysian photographer whom I idolize for his interesting approach in getting exceptional photos of rare insect species with unimaginable moments.
Top Tip:
Getting adequate lighting would be my top tip. As we know, lighting plays the most important role to highlight every crucial detail. For outdoors, I would recommend going out early in the morning as the lighting source is at its optimum. For indoor/studio photoshoots, it is essential to do some preparations by providing suitable props, flash as well as a diffuser in getting enough light. The diffuser is used to soften the light from external or body flash. You may invest in a commercial specialised diffuser that mounts onto your flash. or you can make your own to be put on the front of your lens hood, as DIY diffusers may suit your lens better.
Favourite Photograph:
Personally, I have a lot of photographs that I consider as my personal favourites. But if I had to choose one, it would be a photo titled “Enchanting Realm” for its mystical world-like setting.
