Your best tip for other photographers:
Shoot, shoot, shoot! I think one of the best pieces of advice I can give is to practice as much as possible with your existing gear. Start with small goals (e.g. one photo per week). That's how you'll get to know your gear and define your own photographic style as you go along.

This picture below of the Mont Blanc is one of my favourite shots because it reflects many things:
