Daniell is a travel and adventure photographer based in Spain who absolutely loves his job and everything that comes with it, and brings us a stunning set of images to his Picfair Store

"I appreciate the people I meet, the places I go, the hours I keep, and the spontaneity in every shoot. I appreciate the raw reality of everyday life, the fleeting beauty of those in-between moments, and I do my very best to take every picture with that in mind."

Your best tip for other photographers:

I think one of the key points is to be clear about what you want to photograph. Check the location before, when and how the light is and take your time with the photo. Don't just press the shutter button and hope that something will be there and you can later adjust the crop and everything else.  Spend less time siting hours and hours selecting & editing photos, go out and take photos. 

Your favourite photographer:

Anton Corbijn. I am fascinated by the simplicity with which he photographs and portrays people.

He is best known for his black-and-white portraits of artists shot with slow shutter speeds to allow for the subtle movements and gestures of his subjects, that keeps the images alive. Sharpness is completely overrated. “If you only photograph people as beautifully as possible, you may take a perfect photo, but not a good portrait. It's about capturing the moment when a person looks most like themselves. The better you know that person, the more likely you are to find it. Talking can sometimes be more important than taking pictures. It is a mistake to believe that the best images are created under ideal conditions. The possibilities of technology feed the illusion that pictures get better the more you look at them.”

Your favourite photo:

That's a difficult question, because I could choose so many, but there was this unique moment during an expedition in Greenland when we were sailing through the ice around midnight and suddenly the sea turned into a mirror and the mystical icebergs appeared in front of us in their uniqueness. On top to that the incredible light and birds passing by. Capturing this experience makes it one of my favourite images.
