Recently, on World Architecture Day, various English cathedrals had an absurd but highly entertaining argument on Twitter over which cathedral is the most beautiful of them all. (They kept it very civilised – they’re good Christians, after all.) They had a point too: cathedrals around the world can boast some of the most astonishing architectural feats in history. Their intricate, ornamental style unsurprisingly attracts many photographers to the subject.
