The One-Point perspective sounds more complicated than what it actually refers to. Artists, architects and photographers use this method to capture the ratio of the various objects and phenomena. It creates a realistic appearance, as if the viewer was standing in the place of the person who captured the sight. Directors like Stanley Kubrick and Wes Anderson are known for having perfected this technique. The corridor scene of The Shining, the red button scene of the 2001 Space Odyssey, or the roof scene of Royal Tenenbaums are just a few stellar examples.
