The locomotive hasn’t lost its charm in the contemporary era. It is still much beloved by train enthusiasts and history fanatics. These days, the nostalgia-fuelled can book scenic train journeys that aim to recreate the travelling experience from a bygone era. For those more inclined towards practicality, modern technology has seen the conception of a range of new-era transportation forms such as the Shanghai Maglev train that can reach up to 430km/h.
