Interview with Tomáš Hudolin

Hi Tomáš! Tell us about yourself in two sentences - who are you?

My name is Tomáš Hudolin and I’m a nature photographer (well, I suppose everything is nature :) ) from a small town called Přeštice in the Czech Republic. I like minimal and natural-looking photos without a lot of photoshopping.

QWhat's the weirdest situation you've found yourself in while taking a photograph?

AI don’t know really, maybe it's a question of view :) . From my point of view, most situations I find myself in are quite ordinary, and much like everyone else's.

QWhat do you shoot on? What's your favourite set up?

AI have my old buddy the Canon 5D mark II, which has survived shooting a pack of dogs playing in the river, as well as many tumbles that occurred while skiing and biking etc. My favourite lens is the Canon 24-70, first edition.

QWhat's your number one tip for an aspiring photographer?

AIt depends on what your goal is. If you are an amateur, just take pictures and enjoy it. If you would like to make some money from photography and it's your dream job, you might end up hating it sometimes :) . But you should realise the dream and persist even if it seems bad at times ;) . I would also like to use this space to thank my family for their support, because I can be quite stubborn!
