Hi Marina! Tell us about yourself in two sentences - who are you?
Photography is very personal to me and it's a platform where I can be creative and spend time in nature, two things that I am very passionate about. It has been exactly one year since I have picked up my first actual camera, every photo is a gift and I love how I can capture a moment in time and freeze it for a lifetime.
QWhat's the weirdest situation you've found yourself in while taking a photograph?
AI am often found on the side of the road with my bum in the air looking for interesting bits and pieces, but there's nothing I love more.
QWhat do you shoot on? What's your favourite set up?
AI shoot with a Nikon D7200 and shoot mostly outdoors in natural light. Currently my go-to lenses are my Nikon 50mm f1.8 and Nikon 105 macro lens.
QWhat's your number one tip for an aspiring photographer?
ADo more of what you love, love what you do and never forget why you do what you do.

I love all my photographs, each one has a story and reflects my mood, inspiration and creativity at the time, weather dark and moody or light and airy. I am particularly fond of this one, it reminds me of a lovely day out with my daughter feeding the birds in the Auckland Domain. This guy was sitting on the bench next to me waiting for some bird seed, I love how something so simple can be so beautiful and it’s a reminder that it’s not what you see but how you see it that matters.
