Hi Iren! Tell us about yourself in two sentences - who are you?
Greetings, Picfair fans! I am a woman living in Hungary, Europe. I live next to the country’s largest lake, where I can roam free and take photographs to my liking.
QWhat's the weirdest situation you've found yourself in while taking a photograph?
AOne time I was taking photographs when a water buffalo broke free from his pen and started charging at me. He was only a few metres away from me. Luckily he decided not to attack after standing there for some time, and then left. I was rather scared after that incident, my legs were shaking as I walked back to my car.
QWhat do you shoot on? What's your favourite set up?
AI really enjoy the feeling of being part of nature. Visiting fields of blooming flowers or forests are my favourite things to do. You notice the small details there; the insects, the butterflies, the water droplets, all the hidden wonders. I use a Canon 100mm macro lens and an old Trioplan for great bokeh effects.
QWhat's your number one tip for an aspiring photographer?
AShow others the things you find intriguing. Your own perspective is very important and valuable. Being a photographer can be a challenge, you have to be persistent and you’ll probably have to keep learning.
