Hi David! Tell us about yourself in two sentences - who are you?
My name is Dave and I am a wannabe photographer from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I pursue photography as my creative outlet and like to focus on lines, colours and the sky as my favourite subjects.
QWhat's the weirdest situation you've found yourself in while taking a photograph?
AA few years ago I took a tour in Cayo Coco, Cuba which included visiting a bat cave. I could sense bats flying all around in the darkness. While shooting completely blind, I managed to capture a bat in mid-flight directly in front of my camera. It was a total fluke and a once-in-a-lifetime shot.
QWhat do you shoot on? What's your favourite set up?
AI currently own a Nikon D7000 with an 18-200mm lens as my go-to lens for its flexibility and portability. A must-have for me is a circular polarizer filter. My favorite set-up includes having a tripod on my balcony to capture lightning shots during late night summer storms.
QWhat's your number one tip for an aspiring photographer?
AAlways have your camera available or with you. You never know when you will come across a never-to-be-repeated scene and you don't want to regret the "one that got away".

The contrast of wearing a nice suit along with this mask made for a bizarre and fun shoot. It looks like an image you would see on an album cover.' Read less
