With the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival in full, glitzy swing, Ontario’s provincial capital has once again pulled on its party pants to welcome around half a million visitors to the world renowned extravaganza. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the dynamic TIFF Bell Lightbox takes centre stage as familiar faces and media alike descend on the city. There’s more to Canada’s cultural hub than first meets the eye, however. A peek beyond the red carpet affords a fantastic view of multicultural diversity, architectural wonder, eclectic entertainment, and a landscape as varied as it is wide; ravines, forests, beaches, parks and 29 miles of waterfront shoreline surround the buzzing metropolis. Don’t just take our word for it though, we’ve selected 21 of our most stunning images to showcase the city behind the film fest.
