Following North American economic sanctions, American cars from the fifties have become part of the Cuban landscape. Old Dodges, Chevrolets and Fords are often seen on Cuban streets, offering a charming and unique scenery. In the context of the city’s tradition and culture, classic cars represent a significant business in Havana. Drivers deliver tours to tourists and locals in these cinematic vehicles, offering the promise of a particular insight into the Cuban heritage. While their old mechanisms need to be continually modified to keep them going, the future of these cars is uncertain.
