The ocean is a beautiful thing, and many people dream of living by the beach. It’s definitely a romantic idea, the sea breeze, the waves gently rolling in, the sun setting on the horizon. However, the reality can unfortunately be quite different. Lately we’ve seen countless examples of the ocean as a destructive force. Hurricanes and earthquakes have regularly caused tsunamis and floods in recent months, with often devastating consequences. With Puerto Rico, still struggling to regain electricity, two months after Hurricane Maria, it is important to remain cognisant of just how powerful Earth's weather systems can be.
