As part of 'Mind The Lens' month, we’re turning over our social channels throughout October to conversations, guides and content that promote better mental health. Partnering with non-profit The Photography Movement on a series of IG live interviews, guests will include Emma Hardy, Francis Augusto and Charlie Clift as well as Scott Shillum and Steve Wallington, founders of The Photography Movement.
“We’ve always been aware of the mental health benefits that photography provides for Picfair members across the world, but over the last 18 months the connection was more powerful than ever. It inspired us. As we move beyond the pandemic, we want to keep exploring the relationship between photography and mental health, and take this exploration to as big an audience as possible”
Benji Lanyado, Founder (Picfair)
In addition to the weekly IG lives, Picfair will also be hosting guest content from photographers such as Paul Williams and Matt Doogue - both passionate advocates of the role photography has played in their recovery.
Expect honest discussion, inspirational stories and practical takeaways.
Join the conversation at #mindthelens @picfair
£20k of Mind The Lens grants are also up for grabs to those looking to further a unique mental health and photography project (deadline for submissions 29th October)
