This is a genre of photography that many image makers live for - with numerous websites out there created by budding photographers containing tips of where to find unusual derelict structures, especially those found in big cities and urban settings. The buildings in this post are the ones that we found to be the most ethereal in nature, with care and attention by various photographers to make the images as beautiful as possible. You’ll find images taken in many countries across the globe including New Zealand, Russia, South Africa, and Namibia (or Nambia if you’re a certain world leader). Each image has its own unique story to tell, however a special mention goes to the highly unique Buzludzha Monument in Bulgaria, opened in 1981 by communist leader Todor Zhivkov.
