At 126,670,000 citizens, Japan is one of the more densely populated countries in the developed world; with nearly 38 million living in the metropolitan area of Tokyo.
Tokyo itself is ripe for urban photography, but what of Japan outside of its cities? Despite the country’s density there are many beautiful locations in rural Japan, with 20 World Heritage Sites to explore.
